facebook.com/williamofotboll Real Madrid outclassed Ajax tonight in the Santiago Bernabéu, after beating the Dutch side by 3-0. Cristiano Ronaldo added another goal to his tally, but it was Kaká who delighted the crowd with a nostalgic performance. Real Madrid confirmed expectations as they defeated Ajax tonight by 3-0, in the Santiago Bernabéu. Cristiano Ronaldo scored his first goal of the season in the UEFA Champions League and his 9th when accounting all competitions. However, the MVP of the night has to be granted to Kaká, who had one of those nostalgic performances, that make people remember the times when the Brazilian got awarded the FIFA World Player of the Year trophy (2007). Helped by a great performance from Kaká and Cristiano Ronaldo, Real Madrid didn't face many difficulties to beat Ajax tonight. The Brazilian scored one goal and assisted for another, while Ronaldo managed to score his first goal of this UEFA Champions League edition. Real Madrid now counts with 2 wins out of 2 matches and is on the right tracks to get an early ticket for the last 16 stage. Real Madrid started the game with typical 4-2-3-1, where Xabi Alonso and Khedira were the ones responsible for conducting and dictating the team's tempo. Mesut Ozil had orders to play by the sideline, while Kaká had more of a free role, in order to allow the Brazilian to combine well with his teammates wherever he could find spaces. However, Ajax strategy somehow blocked Real Madrid intents in the early periods of the game, as the Dutch side managed to keep their net far from danger and was still able to threat Casillas, with fast counter attacks by the sidelines. It's not by chance that many regard Real Madrid as the best team in the World when playing in counter-attack. It was around the 25th minute that the Merengues showed how to combine and finish a beautiful and fast play, with Kaká, Ozil, Cristiano Ronaldo and Benzema being the main actors of this first masterpiece. Cristiano Ronaldo scored the first goal of the night, as well as the first of his tally, if accounting only for this year's UEFA Champions League edition. Ajax started to give more spaces in forbidden areas and Real Madrid would still manage to score a second goal before the half-time, in a good combination between Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaká. The Brazilian found a good spot, tried his left-foot shot and made the 2-0 just before the break. The second half would start with Real Madrid trying to slow down things, in order to control the outcome of this match. Even though the game was being played more slowly, the Merengues would add another to their lead, after a good combination between Arbeloa and Kaká, allowing the Brazilian to assist Benzema for an easy tap-in. The game wouldn't suffer any major changes from that point on, but as a negative note, Benzema was forced to leave the game after picking up an injury and Cristiano Ronaldo was also seen in pain close to the end. L.A. Galaxy Vs Real Madrid (1-4) All Goals Match Highlights 16/07/2011 Friendly Match We can just start by saying this Real Madrid team for 2011-2012 promises a lot for the "Madridismo", after an easy win by 1-4 against L.A. Galaxy. In a match facing an American side who are already in an advanced stage of their season, Real Madrid decided to deliver a great performance to all the fans that showed up in Los Angeles, United States. In the first half, it's only fair to emphasize how good Kaká looked driving several of his team's attacks, as well as the debutants Fábio Coentrão and Callejón, who also showed some great skills. Cristiano Ronaldo started warming up close to the end of the first half and he would also leave his mark right on the beginning of the second period. Looking back at the match, the halftime arrived and Real Madrid left no chance for L.A. Galaxy to dispute the match. José Mourinho rotated almost the entire team, allowing Cristiano Ronaldo to enter and present their fans with a great performance. CR7 is still far from his ideal physical condition, but nevertheless, Ronaldo had a few good appointments and runs towards L.A. Galaxy defense. In the 53th minute, the Portuguese dribbled 3 defenders and finished with a powerful left footed strike. Great goal and a tremendous ovation from the Los Angeles Memorial Colliseum stadium. There was still time for a Benzema goal making it 0-4, after being assisted by Real Madrid's new signing, Fábio Coentrão. L.A. Galaxy struggled a bit throughout the entire game but also managed to score their goal of honor close to the end, putting the final score in a 1-4 defeat for the home team.Real Madrid next game in the United States pre-season campaign is on the 21st of July (European Time), against the strong Mexican team, Chivas Guadalajara in San Diego. Once again, José Mourinho is expected to rotate the team and Cristiano Ronaldo might start either the first or the second half

José Mário dos Santos Félix Mourinho born 26 January 1963 in Setúbal) is a Portuguese football manager and the current manager of Real Madrid in the Spanish La Liga. He has the nickname "The Special One", a self-proclaimed title which was later taken up by the British media. The son of Portuguese goalkeeper José Félix Mourinho, Mourinho started out as a player but he was dissatisfied with his lack of skill and switched to management. After spells working as an assistant manager and a youth team coach in the early 1990s, he became an interpreter for Sir Bobby Robson. There, Mourinho learnt much from the veteran coach and worked with him at Sporting Clube de Portugal and Porto in Portugal, before following him to Spanish club Barcelona. He began focusing on coaching and impressed with brief but successful managerial periods at Sport Lisboa e Benfica and União de Leiria. He returned to Porto in 2002, this time as head coach, and soon became a force to be reckoned with, making the treble, winning the Portuguese Liga, Cup of Portugal, and UEFA Cup in 2003. Greater success followed in 2004 as Mourinho guided the team to the top of the league for a second time and won the highest honour in European club football, the UEFA Champions League. Mourinho moved to Chelsea the following year and won two consecutive Premier League titles in 2005 and 2006, among other domestic honours. He often courted controversy for his outspokenness, but his victories at Chelsea and Porto established him as one of the world's top football managers, well regarded by both his peers and the press. Additionally, he was named the world's best football manager by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) for both the 2004--05 and 2005--06 seasons. After a fall-out with the Chelsea hierarchy, he moved to Italy's Serie A, signing a three-year contract with Internazionale in mid-2008. Within three months, he had won his first Italian honour, the Supercoppa Italiana, and completed his first season in Italy by winning the Serie A league title. He then followed that up the following year by winning the first treble in Italian history, the Serie A league title, Coppa Italia, and the UEFA Champions League, thus becoming the third manager in football history to win two UEFA Champions League with two different teams, after Ernst Happel and Ottmar Hitzfeld.Due to these achievements he again won the IFFHS best football manager for the 2009--10 season and the first ever FIFA Ballon d'Or Best Coach Award in 2010. Mourinho is regarded by some as the best manager in world football today. In 2010, before their semi-final second-leg clash, Josep Guardiola of Barcelona said: "In terms of the world's best managers, when you compare José [Mourinho] to Sir Alex [Ferguson], Arsène [Wenger] and Fabio [Capello], he is still very young. But even at his age there is a very strong case for him being the best manager in the world. That's the truth. On 28 May 2010, his appointment as head coach at Real Madrid was confirmed, signing a four-year contract.
